Can you believe that 2013 is here?! I am super pumped for the new year and I feel that it will be a great year for all of us. I know many people use this time to set goals, especially around health and fitness. However, I know that these are some of the hardest goals to keep, but some of the most important. If your health and your body isn’t optimal, it can affect other areas of your life. So, setting goals around health and fitness are important. Recently, I wrote an ebook where I share 10 steps to setting goals and making them stick for the year. One of the steps I mention is after you write down your goals, think about what are the things that you need to do ASAP to get started on that goal.
If you have a goal to lose weight or eat healthy or to get fit & healthy this year, write down 5 things that you can do between now and the next 72 hours to jumpstart that goal. Some things you could do:
- Clean out your fridge and pantry of junk food
- Purchase new workout shoes and clothes
- Purchase a new fitness program, like Insanity or Body Combat
- Schedule your workouts in your calendar
- Find a Workout Buddy
The list can go on and on, but you want to do these things in 72 hours. This will help to give you a burst of momentum and by completing this list, you will already have a sense of accomplish to keep going with your goals.
