Goal setting is critical for your workout regimen. It helps you to know what you want to achieve and when they are specific, measurable, and have a time limit, they will help to propel you forward to actually reaching them. To make the goals stick share your goals with a friend or someone who will help to hold you accountable to reaching those goals. Another way to make the goals stick is to write them down and read them every single day. This has been helpful for me in all areas of my life, because by reading and reviewing them daily, it keeps them fresh in my mind. Goal setting can help to keep you motivated and stick with your workout regimen. The best thing about reaching goals, is when you actually accomplish it. There is a feeling like none other when you are able to say “I said I was going to do it, and I DID IT!” I will point out that the worse thing about goals is that they won’t come to fruition if you don’t do the work to make them happen. With every goal comes sacrifice, doing things that you don’t necessarily want to do but they are necessary to reach your goal. Understand that the price you pay making your goal come true, will yield a BIG reward!!
Here is a great video that I found that talks about how to set realistic goals.
